Join us for a intriguing tour of the grounds with Rich Thomas.

The chapel, approved for Construction in 1780, was delayed in construction by the war until 1786 and was completed by 1788. On the eastern portion of its grounds is the site of the chapel, a 30 x 40-foot wooden structure built on a brick pier foundation, and on the western portion is the site of the militia muster house, a log structure from the pre-Revolutionary times. 300 yards west of the site is the location of the murder of Patriot Charles Davant by a raiding party of Loyalists from Daufuskie Island and British regulars from Savannah.
