SUMMARY:Revolutionary Boat Tour
DESCRIPTION:ALL SALTY DOG CRUISES ARE FOR ADULTS AGE 21 AND OVER. \nBar and galley open one hour prior to departure. Please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before. \nMarking the 245th and 247th Anniversaries of British Campaigns into Calibogue Sound and Skull and Mackey Creek\nIn October 1779 and 1781\, British detachments made their way from Beaufort to Savannah through Skull Creek and behind Daufuskie Island\, on one hand to arrive in time to reinforce the British and prevent surrender at the Siege of Savannah\, and on the other to stage punitive raids on Patriot homesteads on Hilton Head and Pinckney Islands\, burning homes\, capturing slaves\, and stealing livestock in retribution for earlier Hilton Head Militia attacks. These three-hour tours will follow British routes between the Port Royal Sound and the mouth of the Cooper River where it flows to the Savannah. They will be narrated by leading Beaufort County historians. These cruises leave from South Beach Marina (at the Salty Dog Cafe) in Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island. \n$75 \nhttps://book.peek.com/s/b7bb3687-a21b-44e2-98e7-aea6a3a16464/wajWA
